Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI (45xxx WDM) is a Windows driver and TV application package for Hauppauge’s analog WinTV-PVR PCI tuner/capture cards. It installs a WDM-compliant capture driver that exposes the card’s hardware MPEG-2 encoder to Windows and DirectShow-compatible apps, enabling reliable, low-CPU video capture.
With the included WinTV software, you can watch analog television, pause and rewind live TV (timeshifting), and schedule recordings directly to MPEG-2 files. The driver also enables capture from composite and S-Video inputs with stereo audio, and supports FM radio and IR remote control on models that provide those features. Designed for legacy PCI systems, it primarily targets older versions of Windows (such as 2000/XP, with later support available for newer releases), providing stable, hardware-accelerated recording for analog sources.
